The air conditioner cools as it should. However, assembly was difficult. The plastic faceplate must be removed, and there are snap-tabs at the top which we broke off, mistakenly thinking that the faceplate should swing out from the bottom to release tabs at the top. The snaps are very, very delicate, and we snapped them all off at once. The instructions don't really tell the user exactly how the face plate has to be removed. So, I damaged a brand new product due to poor, incomplete instructions. It still cools and does what it should, but I was irked by the paucity of instruction on the manner of removing the faceplate.
