DOESN'T WORK & CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE

I give this chopper a 1 and customer service a 0. While I love the features of this little chopper, I can't separate the black ring on the top of the lid from the clear plastic bottom part of the lid in order to clean between the two lid parts. I called customer service and get ready....they told me they cannot provide me with a replacement lid because it is not a functional issue, that I have to figure out how to remove the black ring, that if it breaks I can call them back and that’s when they WOULD CONSIDER replacing it. Are you kidding me?!? I even cut my finger trying to separate the two pieces after that phone call. I have many Kitchen Aid appliances and was going to get another one for x-mas but not now. Good bye Kitchen Aid....hello Cuisinart or pretty much any other appliance company. P.S. Both manuals that come with the food chopper do not include any instructions on how to separate the lid parts. One would think they shouldn't need to detail something so simple...until it doesn't work as it is supposed. Very disappointing.

This is a very handy appliance for many uses. I really like it to make vingrettes. It is powerful enough to chop many items.
3.5 cup Kitchenaid food processor

It works better than the mini cuisinart food processor and a somewhat bigger bowl size works also. I like the big blades on this unit, but I don't like the the lid design. The one thing that it does great is grated up carrots just right for salads. Though it kinda stain the bowl" I soak it in bleach for 20 minutes and it remove the stain.
