Live on a small non-ferried island where everything has to be barged on island (expensive) SO one does not knowingly buy junk "on purpose"!! Updated to all new stainless appliances BUT Samsung did not carry the size refrigerator that would fit our space so went with Whirlpool brand because it had a model proper width size and looked good, matching our other appliances reasonably. After getting it in place, plugged in and content of the old into the new refrigerator we find that door on the refrigerator <not upper freezer> has a unbearable high pitched "double" squeal as you open the door and again a double squeal when you closed it!! Looked in the manual thinking this was a feature that let you know when the wife was trying to "sneak something" AND could be turned off! Found nothing, soon realized that Whirlpool must "portion control" their "door hinge grease" sort of like McDonalds and the "pickle"! *In defense of the product <although new and might quit tomorrow> it looks good, does not readily show finger prints, is quiet AND the interiors space management is superb! With that said, two stars is probably harsh.., guess I am just VERY disappointed with having paid for a "new" appliance the extra out of pocket expense of getting it here (remote location "no" repairman) ONLY to have to get MY tools out to make it a viable product!!!
