We have been skeptical about the claims made by the manufacturers of these big class TVs with new screen technology. After researching technical reviews and reading owner reports we decided to make the move from our 43 Panasonic Plasma to LGs 55 OLED. The picture is crisp and bright with deep blacks just like the plasma. The set up from boxed delivery to enjoying programming took only three hours we are both in our mid seventies and it was completely compatible with our ZVOX sound system. The included smart apps were all set up during that three our period. The remote control is tricky but with practice we will be able to use all of the features available to us. We are not gamers so we cant address how this unit performs in that arena. If it is as good as the viewing applications performance you will be pleased. We give this product 5 STARS and a YES We WOULD RECOMMEND

The pictures on my LG 55 inch QLED is extraordinary. The back lighting is awesome and the black light is great. Sound coming from it is far better than I ever thought was possible for such a thin TV. The one thing that does need to improved is the menu. And start up this menu should boot directly to the smart TV screens. Instead it tries to look for an antenna or cable connection. Also the apps for the smart TV should be bigger and you should be able to prioritize them by size. However once you learn to navigate it and use it its still worth the money in the quality of the picture and sound. Hopefully LG will do a firmware update to improve.
